ABOUT

A Bit of Background

Here at Muramid Art and Cultural Center, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all.

“THE BEST PLACE TO BE IS TOGETHER” and that’s why the Muramid Art and Cultural Center is the NEW LOCATION for the OLD MURAMID MURAL MUSEUM.

In honor of my beloved husband Fouad whose life was dedicated to MURAMID, and all the talented artists and musicians and poets, sculptors, performers that we hosted in years past through all our efforts and our incredible ART MILES MURAL PROJECT (now 22 years old) we are feeling very BLESSED.  And for sure, with the help of great sponsors (former and new) to name but a few….especially Lisa Montano and all-around builder/artist/musician…  AKI BURKES, and Tara Art Materials, the Espiritu Family-especially MARREN…Go Fund Me, and so many others we could not have created this inviting place of warmth and beauty.

Therefore, below I wanted to post a tiny sample (of over 4,000) of some of the people who created murals that address traditional/environmental issues, painted in the past from all over the world that will be showcased and projected along with live webcasting, in events that will follow once we can officially open the doors at our new venue and you will see all the work that has continued despite our time of transition.  For those who hadn’t heard it, the story of how we started is contained in this TEDx Talk.

Check out this recording Future of U.S. - UNESCO Relationship" with Ambassador James Rosapepe" to see some current work
